A Lovely Day in LovelandFashion & Beauty
When I lived in Colorado I always thought it was so charming that there was a city called Loveland. Imagine my delight when we relocated to Cincinnati and I found there was a Loveland here too! Tucked in a tiny corner just outside of downtown is this little gazebo with an old-fashioned water fountain nearby. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to shoot a post here!
Of course, shooting in a heart-themed gazebo meant I had to wear red, so I paired this peplum zip-up top from Love Culture with simple jeans and boots. This exact top is no longer available, but Love Culture is a great place to find affordable and trendy clothes so their site is definitely worth a browse!
I’ve gone on about these jeggings from Loft ad nauseam lately, but it’s just because they are seriously so comfortable and flattering! I have to take a medication that causes my weight to fluctuate a bit, and these are the only jeans that look and feel great no matter what. With no muffin top!
These chic ankle booties were an end-of-season steal I got last year from Ann Taylor, which is one of my go-to retailers as a petite shopper. Every once in a while I pick up shoes from there, and I’ve never been disappointed. There is a similar pair on sale for 40% off right now! You can find them here.
Of course, the piece de resistance of all my outfits lately is this gorgeous Gucci tote that was gifted to me by a friend a few years ago. It’s the only high-end handbag I own, and the buttery-soft leather and gold logo hardware make me feel like a million bucks. There is a similar style available here if you’re interested!
I honestly almost didn’t post any of these pictures or write this post. A long-term health issue and a new medication have caused me to gain a few pounds, and it’s been hard not to get down about it. In a stroke of fate, however, a wonderful gal I follow on Instagram posted a quote about not wasting your life on waiting to be perfect and it was just what I needed. Her IG handle is @flabbutfab and you should absolutely give her a follow and spam her with likes. Thanks to her, I’m not letting a few pounds hold me back!
Have you found any hidden treasures in your town like I did here in Loveland? I would love to hear about them, so please share in the comments below!
