Sephora Haul

Fashion & Beauty

I am a Sephora addict. I admit it. I’m in there nearly every week, and can spend hours just browsing all of the amazing products and brands that are available. My shiny red VIB Rouge card is honestly my favorite card in my wallet.

I usually avoid the mall in the month of December because I simply cannot abide the crowds, so when I finally went back this week I hadn’t had a Sephora fix in five weeks. And I went a little overboard.

Here’s a quick peek at everything I bought, and I’ll follow up in subsequent posts about how I get on with each of the items.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Clinique “Take The Day Off” Cleansing Balm

I’m almost out of my current cleanser, and have been wanting to try a balm cleanser to see what all the fuss is about. Despite trying damn near everything, I continue to struggle with adult acne so I take my skin cleansing very seriously. I really hope I end up liking this.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

I’m not terribly brand-loyal when it comes to mascara, and I like to try a new one every time mine runs out. I love Marc Jacobs makeup, and I like the angular packaging on this one so I’m excited to try it out.

Sephora Collection Nylon Paddle Brush

Sephora Nylon Paddle Brush

I’ve had this brush forever and absolutely love it. I don’t use it as much with my shorter hair, but it was indispensable when my hair was long. My naughty dog managed to chew up the handle on my current one, so this was just a replacement. My daughter uses it more than I do, but since I’m growing my hair out I wanted to go ahead and get a new one.

Kora Organics Noni Skinfood Dietary Supplement Powder

Kora Organics Noni Glow Skinfood Dietary Supplement Packets

I’ve never purchased anything from the Kora brand, and am only familiar with it because Miranda Kerr is the brand’s founder. Which honestly was a good enough reason to try this! (I mean, have you seen her?!) I like the idea of health supplements that aren’t in pill form, so I’m excited to try these. Also, the packaging is just beautiful and it makes me happy to see it in my cabinet. It’s the little things, right?

Benefit Kabrow

Benefit Ka-Brow in Shade 4

I don’t think I need to explain the importance of eyebrows to anyone, and the Lancome pencil I’ve been using for months is on its last legs. I have a couple of sparse areas, especially on my left brow, and the lovely gal at Sephora recommended this product. I’m a little nervous that it may be too dark, but I’ll withhold judgement until I’ve tried it.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Universal Daily Peel

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I’m obsessed with face masks, and I love trying new ones (I reviewed a whole bunch in this post). Dr. Dennis Gross products are pricey, so I was thrilled to see this 5-pack for just $17 so I can give it a try without too much investment.

As a side note, I got my VIB anniversary email from Sephora the other day and almost died laughing. My relationship with Sephora has officially lasted longer than any relationship I’ve had with a man! And it’s come with a lot less drama. Cheers to our long and happy life together, Sephora!

Thanks so much for reading, and please let me know what you think of any of these products if you’ve tried them!

Benefits Ka-brow is the best thing that can happen to your brows! BTW, how did you like the Marc Jacobs mascara? Even I picked it up on my last Sephora haul – I love it!

    • January 12, 2018

Oh that’s so good to hear about the Ka-brow! I am loving the Marc Jacobs mascara so far. The brush doesn’t come out goopy (which I hate) and it’s design makes it so easy to get the lashes on the corners. Let me know what you think when you’ve tried it!

Confession: I’ve never been to a Sephora! It seems so overwhelming! I do like beauty products and make up though, so it might be time to give the store a try!

    • January 12, 2018

Definitely give it a try…it’s so much fun! And they have the best return policy…you can return products even if they’re opened if they don’t work out for you. That’s important to me because I’m way to shy to try stuff on in the store in front of other people.

You’ll have to do an update on your haul and let us know if you love the items or not! I go to Clinique for the black honey lip stain!

    • January 12, 2018

Oh, I totally will! I’ve heard so many good things about the Black Honey lip products that I need to try them! Do you like it?

Sephora is my favorite place to shop. I go there for my diva curl shampoo and a few other products. I didn’t know that Marc Jacob’s had a makeup line!

    • January 12, 2018

Mine too, girl! Sephora is an addiction, lol. Marc Jacobs has an amazing beauty line…you will love it! I’ve used the primer, finishing powder, and now the mascara and have loved them all!

I really like Benefit’s Ka-brow. It does a great job enhancing the eyebrow while still looking natural!

    • January 12, 2018

That’s so good to hear! I’m a little afraid it will be too bold, but that makes me feel better!

  • Sarah Tapley January 12, 2018

Oh I miss our Sephora days!! We were always trying new things! I’ve been loving the Fenty Beauty foundation!

    • January 12, 2018

We will have those days again! I’m going to try the Fenty foundation you recommended as soon as mine runs out!

Welcome to your new addiction! LOL If you start shopping at Sephora be sure to sign up for a VIB card. It’s free, and the rewards are AWESOME! Have fun!!

Sephora Addict #2 over here! Great product mentions. I’m definitely going to pick up the face masks. For that price and quantity pay off, it’s so worth it!

    • January 11, 2018

I’m glad I’m not the only one! You’ll find the masks in the little bins that form the checkout line. A full box of them is almost $100, so I was stoked to find a “trial” package. Let me know what you think of them!

  • Nicole January 11, 2018

I love love love the paddle brush! It is one of the safest brushes for your hair when it’s wet! I love your haul!

    • January 11, 2018

I have such a tender head, and this is the only brush I could handle when my hair was long. Thank you so much for reading!

  • Satoria Ray January 11, 2018
